At the invitation of Distinguished Adjunct Professor Chen Yulin, Dr. Taroni Andrea, Chief Editor of Nature Physics, Dr. Heber Joerg, Executive Editor of Nature Communications, together with other two editors visited School of Physical Science and Technology (SPST), ShanghaiTech University on September 8th. Simultaneously, a meeting between two sides was successfully held in the administrative center in New Campus.
Carl Ventrice, Associate Professor of Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), SUNY Polytechnic Institute Albany, visited ShanghaiTech University last week. He toured around ShanghaiTech’s new campus under construction with President Jiang Mianheng and discussed the design of Maker Space, a workspace where students with common interests, often in digital arts, engineering and material sciences, gather together and gain hands-on experience complementary to what they learn in class.
The Kavli Foundation team, including Executive Vice President Mingyoung Chun, Scientific Program Officer Christopher Martin and Tarif Taha visited ShanghaiTech on January 13th. Vice President and Provost Yin Jie introduced the school’s development and toured the new campus with the visitors.
